Good. The seafood pancake was recommended and it was not so good and very greasy but everything else was very good. Good kimchi, good meat, good teokbokki, good japchae. Atmosphere was just ok.

The Dotolee Bibimguksu was a 10/10 recommend!!! Personally, I thought it was wayyyy better than the Bibim Nnaengmyun. It was super refreshing and not too spicy. The service was very friendly. They actually forgot about one of my orders but ended up giving my party Bossam on the house as a result! It wasn't too loud nor too busy, with the restaurant being around 75% full. You should definitely check this place out.

ToBang had always been my favorite go-to kbbq restaurant in Santa Clara, but too bad they were closed for lunch on Thursdays. While searching for an alternative spot, I passed by Jang Su Jang and the decision was made. I ordered the hyu mit gui ($50- non-marinated beef tongue), chadol baki ($50- thinly sliced beef brisket) and the seafood/beef soon tofu soup ($21). The tofu soup was average and didn't stand out much. There wasn't much meat or seafood so it was not worth $21. The marbling on the kbbq meat was beautiful, and I really enjoyed the quality and thinly sliced meat. Don't touch the meat placed on the grill until you're given the okay, because the ajummas will cook it for you. The only bad thing about that is not being able to make the decision on whether I can get my meat more raw or more charred. It is funny how hard it is to flag them down to get my order in or to get a refill on water, but they ALWAYS come on time to flip the meat. Jang Su Jang has three bbq combo choices that range from $150 to $270 with 4-5 items. It was quite a lot of food for lunch and would have taken more time to cook so I ordered individual dishes instead and that made a dent in my wallet. If only they had a lunch combo with more variety and smaller portions. Based on the portion of the thinly cut meat, I couldn't justify the price. However, I do love good quality meat and the classy ambiance, so I would come back if I can pass up ToBang next time.

The sauce for the Rose Ddeok Bokki was SO good, perfect creaminess and it was pretty spicy. The rice cakes were on the softer side, not as chewy but still really good. I love all the extra toppings they added for this appetizer (I think it's pumpkin and sweet potato tempura). The Yookgejang Mandooguk was also a good level of spice and its soup had a light taste. The dumplings were savory and all of the banchan was delicious. The restaurant is kept clean and the service wasn't bad, but it was a really hot day and they kept giving us room temp water. I thought it was a little funny how they only gave me 1 napkin when I asked for extra napkins too.

Yummy clam tofu soup! Great service! Delicious Kimchi and sides. Veggie pancake was also delicious!

Jang Su Jang has lost some of its past glory. Something which their Sign Reflects with the " T " from Tofu missing. What use to be one of the premier Korean BBQ Restaurants in Santa Clara has now unfortunately become poor in the Ambiance sector. Thankfully, their food has not. I ordered Beef Bulgogi and it didn't disappoint. Flavor was good as well as the portion. The condiments were very good too. Best out of most Korean restaurants I've tried. They have a good variety of Korean dishes and you can choose to either have the BBQ at your table or not. Service was good and didn't have to wait too long after ordering. Cost is a bit on the higher end for a restaurant who now warns customers about car break ins in their parking lot . Sadly, the Santa Clara strip mall Jang Su Jang is in looks like the after effects of Covid19 economic collapse. Good news is due to this, there is plenty of parking (at your own risk). Think they should relocate to Cupertino or Los Altos.

Not bad They have all the classic Korea food. Nothing mind blowing but well done. We got the bbq combo, a large bossam, and a naengmyeon. More than enough food for six ppl. Came with steamed egg and doenjang jiggae. Be aware that his place be pricey. Def not budget eats (seafood pancake is $29 LOL)

Jang su Jang is a classic higher end korean restaurant chain that has a wide variety of Korean menu items that range from classic tofu soup to the juicy galbijjim. It is always a solid choice for parties of 6 or more for those who need a larger table (assuming you are okay with the 18% auto gratuity) We usually come here for a solid tofu soup place as it is $20 and cheaper than sgd tofu houses in the bay. They also are willing to refill side dishes as well. The servers are super nice and caring and make sure all your water, side dishes, and all those classic needs are met. Parking in this plaza is plentiful as its kinda low-key dead after the food court and supermarket closed. Would recommend if you want a a classic korean eatery!
